As of Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 at 5 pm, Good Shepherd Center shelter and soup kitchen will be closed. Staff will be shuttling all shelter residents, Lakeside Reserve and Ashley Center residents who wish to go to the County emergency shelters, where they will remain until the County emergency officials deem it safe to close the emergency shelters.
If you are in need of shelter from the hurricane, please take advantage of the County emergency shelters. If you need shelter after the storm, please call 910-763-4424 x100 for information on the intake process.
There will be no volunteers on site Wednesday – Friday. Your safety is our priority. Please call 910-763-4424 x101 for the updates on closing and reopening information. This is the official information line for volunteers.
As we are able to asses damage and needs, we will update the community on how you can assist post-storm. Please be safe above all else.
